Safety is a top priority at Sonnikson and Stordahl. We are extremely proud of our safety record. All employees, with the commitment and support of upper management, are both personally and professionally dedicated to safety. The importance of preventing accidents is enforced through safety training, implementing safety measures, and making sure the proper PPE and tools are used to get each job done safely. Our exemplary safety record is a reflection of these efforts.

Our employees are trained to be aware of existing conditions and to be prepared for risks associated with all job sites and work locations. They are also trained to use precautions and keep safety in mind at all times, which make for a safe and productive work environment. This ensures every employee can go home safe and healthy.

Background Checks


Background screens are conducted for all personnel entering refineries and other job site locations. In addition, all employees are TWIC card holders, which is in compliance with the U.S. Patriot Act of 2002 regarding U.S. Homeland Security.



Safety training, procedures, and practices have contributed to preventing injuries to employees and avoiding accidents at job sites. As a result, Sonnikson and Stordahl Construction, Inc. safety record is consistently below industrial averages. We have also managed to have ZERO recordable injuries over the last 3+ years.

Drug and Alcohol Screening


Sonnikson and Stordahl Construction, Inc. is a member of ASAP Drug Solutions, Inc. and OSCA Random Drug and Alcohol Consortium. Pre-employment drug and alcohol screens are required for new employees as well as random testing for all employees. This also includes reasonable suspicion, post-accident and return-to-duty/follow up screening for drugs and alcohol.
